User Feedback Questions Answered

Bonnell ONE represents a meaningful change versus many of our systems in place today (BPICS, EPICS, JDE). We will use a multi-faceted approach to ensure that all of our employees are trained and comfortable with the new systems before Go live. The approach includes these tools and strategies:

- User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Before the systems are turned on, there will be an extended period of testing by select end users. This will provide an opportunity for those select end users to interact with the systems prior to a live environment to ensure correct functionality has been configured.

-Train the Trainer. We will provide in depth training for a select group of people at each site. They will be available to support others within the organization.

-Classroom-style training for all end users. This will be tailored to the specific business areas and processes.

-Hands-on Simulation for all end users. There will be functional objectives that each end users will have the opportunity to practice on the Oracle or TrakSYS system. Each list of objectives is specific to business roles defined.

-Quick Reference Guides (QRG’s). These documents will show a step-by-step process for common transactions within the system. They will be maintained and available on the Bonnell ONE microsite to be used as a reference during training and post training.

-Hypercare. The System Integrators will remain available for a period of time post go live for support and problem-solving to technical issues.

Bonnell ONE will be implemented according to a predetermined schedule. While the exact dates are still to be determined, this is the most current schedule:

Q1 2024- Clearfield

Q2 2024- Niles / Elkhart (together)

Q2 2024- Newnan

Q3 2024- Carthage

TrakSYS will be configured to meet the needs of the business at go-live. This doesn’t mean changes can’t be made once the system is turned on. Select Bonnell resources will be trained and authorized to make approved changes. These will be limited to “must have” edits. As opportunities develop for enhancements to the system, each will be evaluated for implementation. We will continue to foster an environment of CI, using the horizontal teams and business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement both site-specific and globally.

Oracle was chosen in part because it is a SOX- compliant solution. The system architecture provides for controls and compliance including requirements identified by government laws and regulations. The new software will lessen or eliminate many of the manual controls used today.

If you don’t have access to a  computer or smartphone, you can contact your local HR department for current job vacancies / opportunities. They can also assist with any employee changes such as dependents etc.

We realize this is frustrating. It makes training unproductive and does not give you a chance to fulfill what is asked of you. We are making efforts to not let this happen again and ensure that you have access to what you need to be successful BEFORE training occurs.

When you open up the Knowledge Check through the Bonnell ONE site, click the File button, then click the Save As button, then click the Download a Copy button. Make sure that your download is in Power Point format. The last three letters of the file should say “.ppt”. Best practice is to save it to your desktop or to a local file folder on your computer so that you always have access to it as you add your screen shot objectives. Make sure the Knowledge Check file name includes the training module title and your name so that it can be identified correctly when you send it to Joanna Bell after completion.

For salary and hourly employees, time off is manually recorded in HR. Any inquiries regarding accrual balances should be directed to HR.  We are currently working on adding pay time off and accrual request in Oracle for salary employees.  Hourly employees should be able to request time off in Kronos.
